Hi. Please allow me to introuduce myself. I am Crystal. Regan’s better half. Maggies mom.
Regan and I recently got hitched. In Maui. On our 12th dating anniversary. I choose the date. I didn’t want to be responsible for remembering another date. We are both procrastinators, and we did have 12 years invested in this date.
We (I more than we) decided to start this blog to document our marriage. But more than that to allow our readers a glimpse into the world that we live in. There is no one theme, not at this point anyway. We both like to travel, cook, eat, socialize, etc.
Regan says I’m creative, but have no outlet for that energy. Hopefully I discover my creative side here and share it with you. 🙂 One day I’d like to write a novel.
I work for the local city as an accounts payable clerk. I love my job. More than my actual job, I love my co-workers. Its a true work family and I’m forever grateful they gave me the opportunity to serve my community by working for the city.
Regan and I are both volunteers for Carter County CERT. This is a volunteer agency partnership with the County EOC. CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. Sounds very tactical, right? We do a lot of training through FEMA. We participate in search and rescue, perform firefighter rehab and basically anything that may overwhelm our first responders. We are there to help in any way that we can. We love it. Its hard. Sometimes we are out till 3:00am helping with our volunteer firemen on wildfires, then come home for a couple of hours of sleep to get up and go to work by 8:00am.
